Also known as Humphead wrasse. Diet: Mollusks, fishes, sea urchins, crustaceans and other invertebrates.
Max. Size: 229 cm
Fun Fact: Despite their large size, they are a friendly fish and will often approach divers and swim alongside them. Once the diver leaves the napoleon fish’s territory, some napoleon fish will patiently wait for the diver to return, for another peaceful swim experience. Unfortunately, the humphead wrasse is listed as endangered due to overfishing. They are protogynous hermaphrodites, so some females become males after reaching sexual maturity
