Fun Fact: Scorpionfish success as hunters depends greatly on camouflage, its body and coloration make it appear as though it is a leaf or coral and perfectly blend with their surroundings. They are predators that lie in wait for their prey, pouncing on them with a swift motion combined with suction caused by the rapid opening of the large mouth. They are moderately compressed to robust fishes, with large spiny heads. The dorsal, anal and pelvic spines are usually supplied with venom glands.
