Fun Fact: Parrotfish get their name because of their unusual mouthparts. Their teeth are fused together to form a tough parrot-like beak, which they use to scrape alga and other organic matter of the surface of corals. Parrotfish are important because the secrete approximately 200 pounds of sand a year!
